Watermelon Chamomile Frosty

Yes it’s cold out but really I saw the sun!  It was big and bright!  And I thought – lets start thinking spring!! Then I saw this fabulous recipe in “Drink to Your Health” by Anita Hirsch M.S., R.D.

It struck me it was the perfect winter Vitamin C  with a touch of summer drink!

In the recipe as is 1 teaspoon of psyllium is added.  Personally I thought adding 1 scoop of Women’s Blend, 1 scoop of Multi-Vitamin and 1 scoop of Omega3 Blend (which may have a touch of a fish taste if you are taste sensitive) would make this lovely relaxing drink really a workhorse!

Watermelon Chamomile Frosty


Caution: Chamomile allergies can develop if you are allergic to ragweed.

1/2 cup chamomile tea

1 cup frozen watermelon cubes (Freeze pureed watermelon in ice cube trays to make)

1 teaspoon psyllium (Feel free to replace this with your favorite nontasting boost)

2 teaspoons mint syrup (optional)

Start with cooled tea so it won’t melt the watermelon cubes.  Pour the cold tea into the blender with teh frozen watermelon cubes.  Puree aand add psyllium or other supplement boosts, blend again and serve immediately.  Add mint syrup is desired.

Yield: 1 Serving

Easily doubled/tripled etc.

Wouldn’t this make the most marvelous drink for the next school party?  Valentine Drink? How about spiking it for an adult party?
