Protein Options


Proteins are part of every cell, tissue and organ in the body.

The body needs a continual supply of protein in the diet.

Proteins are plentiful in meats, eggs, and milk products.

Luckily, for the vegetarians in the crowd, we can also get protein from certain nuts, fruits and vegetables.

There are 20 different amino acids that join together to make varioius proteins.

Although it’s true that some of these proteins are manufactured by our own bodies, not all of the necessary proteins are.

According to the Centers for Disease Control, it’s essential that our diet provide these.

High-Protein Strawberry Banana Pineapple Smoothie

  • 2 large bananas
  • 1 cup  pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1-1/2 cups unsweetened pineapple juice
  • 1-1/2 to 2 scoops Whey or Soy Protein Blend
  • 1 cup low-fat strawberry yogurt or soy-yogurt.
  1. Place bananas, pineapple and ice in a blender.
  2. Pour in the pineapple juice.
  3. Add the Protein powder of your choice.
  4. Add the yogurt.
  5. Cover and puree until smooth.

(makes three servings)

(except for MatchaGT and green blend) making it easy to "hide" them from the finicky eaters we all know and love. From stirring them into yogurts, smoothies, frappes and even juice drinks it all come out with the original flavor being center star..
